Collaborate rooms will be configured, by default, to not grant permissions to anyone who is not a room moderator. This includes permissions to chat, use the microphone, use the whiteboard or use video conferencing. Moderators are responsible for granting permissions to participants for every meeting conducted in Collaborate.
